I was approached by CNS Consulting to design a new logo for the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast, with the goal of creating a refreshed and meaningful visual identity. Working closely with the team, I focused on capturing the event’s spiritual significance and national presence through a clean, timeless design. The final logo was to balance tradition and modernity, aiming to resonate with both longstanding attendees and a new generation of participants.
The Brief
I was tasked with creating a new logo for the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast that would reflect the event’s deep spiritual roots while appealing to a broad, modern audience. My goal was to design a mark that conveyed faith, unity, and patriotism in a clean and timeless way. I aimed to blend traditional religious symbolism with subtle national elements to honor the event’s purpose and stature.
Our Approach
The new logo for the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast features a bold, traditional design with a navy blue and red color scheme that reflects both national pride and solemnity. On the left, a gold papal symbol anchors the design with religious significance, while the right side balances formal serif typography and red stripes evoking the American flag, uniting faith and patriotism in a clean, structured layout.
The Results
The new logo successfully conveyed the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast’s dual commitment to faith and country, resonating strongly with both longtime participants and new attendees. Its clear symbolism and refined design elevated the event’s visual identity, lending a sense of tradition, dignity, and unity.
